FERC Puts PJM Governance Under the Microscope: Commissioner-Led Conference Set for July 23
On June 5, FERC issued a notice in Docket No. AD26-7-000 convening a technical conference on PJM governance and stakeholder reforms.
This is not a staff panel. The one-day conference will be led by Chairman Laura V. Swett and the Commissioners themselves, running 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at FERC headquarters.
It builds on the May 12, 2026 notice that opened the proceeding — and on a string of Commission actions aimed squarely at PJM, including the January 2026 Statement of Principles and FERC's directive that the nation's largest grid operator create new rules to protect consumers and accommodate innovation.
